Using a press will improve the quality of your work, make it easier, save time and protect your hands from the diseases caused by constantly waving a hammer. This press model was developed by T.Technical Advantage Corp. and patented.
The press is designed for repairing and producing sneakers, shoes and boots with a cup-shaped sole from 6 to 16 men’s sizes. During pressing, its diaphragm simultaneously presses both the low shoes and the part that contradicts the upper part of the shoe. The fastening force is adjustable and can be produced under a pressure of 25 pounds per square inch (2 kg per square centimeter).
The press consists of a base, a pneumatic block and a stand with a movable support on it. On the bottom are located (from left to right): a pressure gauge showing the air pressure at the inlet to the press; a pressure regulator in the pneumatic block; a pressure gauge showing either a vacuum or pressure in the pneumatic block; a 3-position switch providing either a vacuum or pressure in the pneumatic block. On the left side wall there is a connector for connecting a hose from a compressor.
Using the press is very simple and consists of the following: – connect the hose from the compressor to the press; – make sure that the press perceives air pressure: the left pressure gauge should show from 100 to 130 pounds per square inch (from 5 to 7 atmospheres); – set the switch to the right position “vacuum”; – when the air chamber diaphragm is in the most concave position, move the switch handle to the middle “off” position; – to the top of the boot, prepared for tightening and put on the last, prepared for tightening the sole during fastening; – insert the workpiece into the air chamber strip, then lower the movable holder until it stops on the last, and insert the pin into the hole in the last; – set the switch to the “pressure” position; – after ensuring the required shift time, set the switch to the “vacuum” position and, when the glued boot is in a free position, pull it out of the press.
